Charming gouache of very good quality representing a rural scene located at the entrance to a hamlet with a shepherd and his dog leading a flock of sheep, a woman with her child and a peasant woman with 2 cows and 2 goats. We can see in the distance a castle on a hill as well as a village below. There is a signature difficult to decipher at the bottom right under a rock. Inscription in ink on the reverse on the frame. Restoration period early 19th century in its original frame with its original blown glass too. Dimensions with the frame: 58.5 x 53 cm View 33 x 25.5 cm Perfect condition
