Nice scene with a woman and a child in an alley sitting on a staircase in a village. They are surrounded by flowers and are near a well whose rack can be seen. In the background an imposing mountain as well as the costume encourages us to situate the scene somewhere in the south of France towards the Côte d'Azur or the Midi-Pyrénées... Notice to lovers of traditional costumes who should be able to identify the region...! Signed and dated R.Cetre 1885. A few small snags very well restored and invisible. Very good condition. Unframed. Dimensions: 97 x 56 cm. Wooden frame.
