"Puiforcat: Strawberry Server And Sugar Spoon, Sterling Silver, Paris, "acanthus" Model"

Set of two pieces, a sugar spoon and a strawberry server, by the famous goldsmith Emile Puiforcat. The model is called "Acanthe" (Acanthus), in a Louis XVI style with a finely chiseled relief decoration of flower garlands with acanthus leaf ornaments. The spoons are in vermeil, in the shape of a stylized shell for the server, a round spoon and pierced with festoon cutouts. A small monogram "DV" is engraved on each spatula.
- Sterling silver: Minerva hallmark for the 1st Title (.950)
- Master silversmith: Émile Puiforcat, active at 16 rue Chapon in Paris, after 1857 (hallmark: "EP" with a penknife)
- Length: 21.7cm by 8.5cm (strawberry shovel), 21.4cm by 6.2cm (sprinkle spoon)
