The rectangular table has a fretted reserve in rosewood curling. It is topped with a step opening with two sliding curtains with herringbone decorations. These curtains reveal two storage drawers topped with a large compartment.
The belt reveals two rosewood drawers highlighted with violet wood fillets as well as a large retractable shelf covered with a brown morocco with a beautiful patina.
The external face of the legs is highlighted with a rosewood fillet to affirm the elegance of the curve. Each leg is raised with a gilded and chiseled bronze shoe. The bonheur-du-jour that we present, by the choice of precious woods and its small proportions, nicely echoes the refinement of these small secretaries specific to ladies to write their more or less secret correspondence and which constituted their ''happiness of the day''.
