Superb atmospheric photograph at the Café de Flore in 1939, where we see in the middle of the room the Spanish master surprised in full complicit conversation with a young woman. Signed silver print, photographer's stamp on the back. Photo size: 30.5 x 27.2 cm Photo size including margin: 40.4 x 30.2 cm Brassaï settled in the Montparnasse district in the 1920s. He immortalized the mythical Paris of this period, with its quays plunged into the November mist, its monuments and its inhabitants from all social backgrounds.
