"Important Orientalist Cabinet"
Japanese-style cabinet with painted decoration of animated scenes in cartouches and carved wood with gold patina. It opens with two doors separated by a frame with a mirrored bottom engraved with Far Eastern landscapes. It reveals an ivory and gold interior with floral decoration, lined with a mosaic of mirrors and opening with two drawers. It rests on a gilded, openwork base, carved with foliage, the curved feet are joined by a plinth decorated with a lake scene. Attributed to Maison Jansen Paris, circa 1940, 1950. Very good condition.
