Commemorative pewter dish with a molded round edge engraved in the center with a rider brandishing a sword and the words: "Schwedischer Feldmarschall Knyhausen - 1656".
Hallmark of Carl August SETZER active from 1820: angel justice / FEIN ENGLISH ZIN.
Diameter: 28.3 cm.
HEILBRONN (Southern Germany), Mid-19th century.

Knyphausen entered the service of the Crown of Sweden in 1630, leading several German regiments in Lower Saxony. In 1633, he was appointed field marshal.
Heilbronn is located in Baden-Württemberg, north of Stuttgart
