A fine bronze bust of the late 17th century French poet and intellectual Jean de la Fontaine. French classic, "Fables". On a marble base and in excellent overall condition. Stamped Barbedienne and also with the "Collas Reduction" pastille. Height is 25 cm. Circa 1850.
