Object description :

"Pair Of Porcelain Bowls Limoges Raynaud Model Puiforcat Kiang She 20th Century"
Pair of polylobed polychrome porcelain cups from the Raynaud brand in Limoges, "Puiforcat Kiang She Chine 18ème" model, with rich decoration of flowers and fish (carp) on the bottom, from the 20th century. These cups are in very good condition and are very decorative. Signed on the base. Please note: slight wear from time, see photos. * Raynaud: In 1919, the Montjovis factory was bought by Martial Raynaud. He developed the company which became Raynaud & Cie in 1925, and which adopted a laurel branch "R" as its logo. Sensitive to the artistic excitement of his time, he opened his creations to the new inspirations of Art Nouveau and Art Deco, while being a defender of the Limoges porcelain tradition. The House quickly distinguished itself, particularly with its pearl and enamel vases and cups, a unique style inspired by traditional techniques from Hungary that were passed down to him by his father. In 1952, André Raynaud took over from his father. New techniques emerged and allowed the porcelain industry to broaden its creative perspectives. “Chinese copies” from the Compagnie des Indes were reissued for him, shapes were renewed (the square plates from the “Elite” collection are featured in this capacity at the Centre Beaubourg and the Musée des arts décoratifs5), and the works of great artists (Cocteau, Arman, Dali, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Carven and Raymond Loewy, among others) were at the heart of the creation. In 1992, Bertrand Raynaud, representing the third generation, took over the management of the family business when it was bought by the Ercuis goldsmiths.
