"Decorative Copper, 18th Century Water Heater To Serve As A Cane Holder - Umbrellas Or Plants"
This amusing copper object is an 18th century bath heater. Its cast iron interior has been removed in order to divert it from its initial use to be used as an umbrella stand or plant stand. Originally, our copper was used to heat and maintain bath water at a pleasant temperature; it was necessary to fill it with incandescent embers and immerse it in the water using the two horizontal iron rods which held the two side chimneys to the central body. Note, some shocks and wear, guarantees of its authenticity.
