Antique Empire Style Pet Bed

Amazing and rare model of a reduced pet daybed, It is a work composed of old elements such as solid mahogany wood and veneer as well as ornaments in bronze with brown patina and gilded copper, the whole is highlighted by a beautiful tapestry work entirely new covered with an Empire style jacquard fabric model "Marignan" from the house Casal. This model is inspired by the creations of Parisian cabinetmakers and carpenters of the early 19th century, with a shape that takes its sources in Rome and ancient Greece, shod with lion's paws with an inverted backrest, animated by a beautiful and decorative ornamentation, consisting of lion's paws, stars, rosettes, sphinxes and lying greyhounds. Restored and in very good condition, the cushion is in feathers.
