"Chasse Reliquary Of Saint Frederick, Bishop And Martyr - End Of The 17th Century"
Our relic is enshrined in a wooden base surmounted by a bust representation of the Holy Bishop. Oval, the brass medallion receives a relic ex-ossibus of Saint Frederick, bishop and Martyr in Ultrecht in 838. It is easily removed from the set and is accompanied by precious episcopal seals. The first on the back of which is mentioned our Saint and the second probably with the arms of Pierre Codde, in his capacity as Archbishop of Ultrecht and Sebaste, which is mentioned on the back of this wax seal, with the date of August 1, 1693.
A Flemish work, in carved and polychromed wood whose base rests on three feet including two claws.
