Allan Scharff describes nature as his best source of inspiration. The bark of an old oak tree in a Danish forest provided him with the inspiration for this series of bowls. What lies behind the striated surface is left to the imagination of the observer. The cup is intended to be filled with treats and could be reminiscent of a small bark arm that grabs the hand that tries to fly into the cup. Allan Scharff also made works from this series in sterling silver for the goldsmith Georg Jensen. This unique corpus is a creation of Allan Scharff and it is UNIQUE
