"18th Century Writing Desk With Cube Parquetry Decoration"
A dainty and very stylish veneered 18th century writing desk, with a slim and elegant frieze drawer and gorgeous cube parquetry decoration to the top surface. The legs are very slightly curved outwards, and are beautifully finished with a fine ormolu mount to the feet, while the drawer front and sides have been embellished with fine natural wood veneers. The drawer is fitted with a decorative brass escutcheon, and retains its original locking key. There are some small marks and losses to the veneer in places, but the table is in excellent condition for its age and usage.
