"Pair Of Half Moon Glass Paste Wall Lights Signed Vianne 1980s"
Verrerie de Vianne is a French company, founded in 1928 in Vianne, in the Lot-et-Garonne region. Specializing in the manufacture of mouth-blown glass objects, the glassworks has gained a reputation for its lighting and decorative objects in pâte de verre. It notably produced high-quality glass lampshades and wall lights, often used in elegant interiors. Closed in 2014, its creations are now highly sought after for their artisanal character and their distinctive style, typical of Art Nouveau and Art Deco. These wall lights, made of pâte de verre from the Vianne glassworks, feature a palette of nuanced tones ranging from brown to orange, offering a magnificent visual rendering. Shaped like a half-moon, the fixings are included, but the wall mounting screws are missing, justifying their reduced price. Although they are used and in good condition, one of them shows slight surface chips that are barely noticeable. Their slight artisanal variations allow for installation together or separately, for a personalized effect.
