Louis Albert Carvin (1875-1951) was a French sculptor renowned for his works depicting animals and scenes from nature. Born in Paris, he trained at the École des Beaux-Arts under the sculptors Emmanuel Frémiet and Georges Gardet. Carvin is best known for his bronze animal sculptures, including dogs, horses and deer. He regularly participated in the Salons des Artistes Français, where he received numerous awards. His works are sought after for their anatomical precision and dynamism. The base, which is made of marble, 5cm high, has small chips.
