Small cabinet painting by the artist, who was apprenticed to his father Jacob van der Does and in whose tradition he mainly painted Italianate landscapes with a shepherd scene. Oil/oak panel. 17.5 cm x 13.5 cm (dimensions of the painting). On the back, two old labels with attribution and indications of provenance to Edgar and Caroline Michahelles, Hamburg.
