"Directoire Period Sideboard"
Walnut sideboard from the Directoire period. The top includes a half-round wooden gallery mounted with a miter cut. The sides are in solid ash burl. The uprights have a diamond marquetry typical of this period. The interiors of the jamb are in counter-grain. The five drawers slide wonderfully (total height 35 cm) the recessed shelf gives even more solidity to the whole. (height 10 cm) The ring-shaped brass buttons are sober and discreet.
