Henri Amand -Seat joiner.
He passed his Master's degree on November 17, 1749.
After settling on rue de Lappe, he moved his workshop to rue de Charenton, where his widow continued the business from 1757 to 1768.
This cabinetmaker's most notable works include Louis XV chairs, with beautiful proportions and good workmanship, caned office chairs, armchairs à la reine carved with cartouches and florets, and elegant sofas decorated with rocaille motifs. He very often joined the legs of his chairs with a crosspiece.
Henri Amand's stamp is most often affixed to one of the uprights of the back, behind the seat.
