In 1762, he became a juror of his community.
From 1767, he was considered one of the greatest cabinetmakers of his time, which is confirmed by the "Almanach d'indication générale ou du Vray Mérite" of 1769 which cites him as one of the first cabinetmakers in Paris.
Greatly appreciated by his colleagues, he became deputy of the cabinetmakers' body in 1777, then syndic 2 years later0. His productions, abundant and varied, adapted to all the styles of the 18th century, with elegance and refinement ..
