Jean GOURDIN (around 1690 – 1764) known as "Père GOURDIN"
Parisian family of furniture joiners, known for very estimable productions.
The oldest, Jean, received as a Master in 1714, flourished on rue de Cléry between 1737 and 1763.
We owe him some very beautiful seats and several of his works are part of the royal furniture of Sweden.
This is also the case of the castle of Montgeoffroy where the Marquis de Contadès lovingly preserved the furniture ordered from the cabinetmakers Gourdin, father and son, by his grandfather the Marshal de Contadès.
