Maurice Martin (1894-1978), landscape painter. He lived in Lavardin after having travelled a lot. Many prizes reward his work. In 1981 the Drouant Gallery dedicated a retrospective to him, in 1996 his studio collection was dispersed. This unsigned canvas is very representative of his work. A work that is perhaps not finished but which testifies to the liveliness of his touch and his search for light (see comparative photos). More detailed information on request.
