Stobwasser "the Bridal Chamber" Small Box Or Snuff Box

Very beautiful box or snuffbox by Stobwasser depicting newlyweds entering the bridal chamber.
It is made of papier-mâché and painted very finely in oil, under varnish.
The rim and the back are varnished in black, slightly marbled with red.
Brass hinge.
Inside, on the lid, the title "La chambre nuptiale" is written in gold letters.
In the part containing it, there is a number in red "1198" as well as in gold letters "Stobwasser's fabrik Braunschweig"
It measures 9 x 6 x 2cm It is in good condition, but with imperfections and signs of age, in particular the bottom right corner shows wear, and there is a small dent in the varnish at the bottom left.
