" Marta Cárdenas (1944) - Portrait Of A Young Man"
THIS SEPTEMBER, ENJOY FREE SHIPPING IN THE EUROPEAN UNION* AT MONTBARON GALLERY - Oil on canvas. A characteristic work of the last figurative period of the great Basque painter Marta Cárdenas, post-cubist portraits made after her training in San Fernando. Cárdenas, along with other female artists, led a movement of feminine painting with her own spirit in the 70s, building bridges between abstraction and the formal by relying on her clairvoyance, drawing inspiration from traditional female craftsmanship and placing greater emphasis on movement than on reality. For many years, the artist worked in partnership with the contemporary Spanish composer Luis de Pablo, perhaps the greatest exponent of aleatoric music in our country. - Dimensions of the image without frame: 50 x 66 cm / 64 x 80 cm with beautiful gilded wooden frame. - From a private collection in Madrid. - Good general condition. Minimal defects. - Galerie Montbaron encloses a technical sheet established by a qualified art historian with all its lots.
