"Louis XVI Style Console, Attributed To Escalier De Cristal"
Louis XVI style console, 19th century in white/grey and pale yellow rechampi wood. The rectangular molded fleur de pêcher marble top. Above a frieze carved with rigid ovates and leaves, suspended from laurel garlands, rests on six fluted legs and hairy sabot feet, connected by a double "X" crosspiece. This console is attributed to the Escalier de Cristal house. A very similar model was sold at Christie's in 2010. (See last photo)
