Pewter oil pitcher, baluster shape with pedestal, nippled lid with shell thumb, fixed handle, fitted with a curved spout with sides.
Countermark : BONNET / 30 / indistinct sign.
Height: 19.8 cm.
PEZENAS (?), First half of the 19th century

This shape is characteristic of Languedoc productions for this type of object.
A Nicolas BONNET is mentioned in Pézenas at this time.
The number 30 and the indistinct sign remain unexplained (Perhaps 1830)
Good condition, a consolidation at the junction of the tongue and the lid is however reported. Bibliography: "Potiers d'étain de l'Ancien Languedoc et du Roussillon" by René Richard
