  • Beautiful rectangular box in brown tortoiseshell, lid decorated with a stamped gilded brass plate signed F.MOREL, representing a bas-relief "Hippocrates refuses the gifts of Artaxerxes".
  • Gilded brass frame. Gilded metal hinge with punch.
  • Restoration period, around 1820.
  • Note: a lack on the casing wall, not visible when closed.
  • Restoration in our workshop of:
  • a crack under the stabilized lid and original glass is replaced by a convex rhodoid.
  • Medicine theme, very beautiful appearance!
