after the work of Raphael (1483-1520) from the Lodge of Raphael, Vatican Palace in Rome, enhanced at the beginning of the 19th century with mixed technique (gouaches, oil pencils).
Moses barefoot, his shepherd's staff on the ground, covers his eyes before the appearance of the Lord in the burning bush : "Then Moses veiled his face, for he was afraid to fix his gaze on God." (Exodus, 3).
Dimensions: 34.5 x 44 cm
Magnificent contrasts of colors, engraving rich in details. The superposition of colors sometimes reveals, through them, the printing lines of the original engraving (visible in the last photos).
The engraving is mounted on a plate of boiled cardboard.
