"Bronze Pierrot: Robj"
Double patina bronze sculpture, brown and gold, made in the 1930s by Robj. It depicts a Pierrot in his traditional outfit lifting a starry globe at arm's length, head tilted back and one foot off the ground. It rests on a rectangular base with cut sides with leafy decoration on which appears the inscription ROBJ PARIS. The globe opens in 2 parts and the stars are pierced in the bronze so that this sculpture can be used as an incense burner. Beautifully made, the double patina bringing out the finesse of the details. H: 20cm Base: 7.5 X 6.5cm Good condition.
