Ornament made of bark, basketwork and cassowary feathers used during traditional ceremonies organized during the yam harvest period in the Maprik area in Papua New Guinea. (Abelam ethnic group). This type of ornament is often affixed to the upper part of the Helm masks. Bark, braided rush, vegetal paste, cassowary feathers and natural pigments. Sold with a presentation base.
