"Little Secretary By Gaspard Feilt"
Small lady's or entre deux secretary in solid mahogany, the short feet with enveloping sabots are reminiscent of Japanese furniture, especially with this molding above. It opens with two leaves in the lower part revealing three chests all in solid oak. I don't know the use of this piece of furniture but it is a real fortress. The upper part behind the flap which stands alone as if there were counterweights reveals 9 drawers plus 4 secrets behind the central shelf which moves back and which can be blocked either by a system under the right drawer (the one with the inkwell) or controlled by the central one with a key whose bolt falls down. (Reverse lock, another feat) this piece of furniture, small in size, is as heavy as a safe! It is of high quality workmanship. Entirely mounted on an oak core. It is also very sober, it can go in all interiors.
