Furniture from the second half of the 19th century in walnut with its original DUPONT brand on the back (see photo).
The patented system allows the writing surface to be moved from left to right or vice versa, to raise or lower it.
A cast iron system allows the surface to be tilted horizontally and vertically (latches allow small flaps to be raised to block a document).
This somewhat exceptional piece of furniture allows reading or writing while sitting, standing or lying down.
Tilted, it can be used as a lectern, sheet music holder or restaurant menu holder.
