The rectangular base with moldings, highlighted by a string of pearls and a frieze of heart-shaped leaves, is adorned with a gilt bronze bas-relief featuring a basket of grapes and a goat on either side.
The movement housed in the marble is topped by a lion's mask and surrounded by stars, a flower-filled basket, and two cornucopias.
The white enamel dial has Roman numerals and is signed "Chle Le Comte à Paris." The hands are made of gilded bronze. The movement has an 8-day duration, striking the hours and half-hours. The suspension is wire-driven.
Very good condition, with beautifully chiseled bronzes retaining their original mercury gilding. The movement and chime work well.
The clock comes complete with a bell, pendulum, and key.
