Engraving / lithograph by Henri numbered 34/60 and signed. Framed under glass. Dimension of the engraving: 43x34cm Henri-Bernard Goetz is a painter engraver born in New York in 1090. He was naturalized French in 1949. Student of the painting school of Harvard University, 1929; of the Central Art School 1930, and in Paris of the Julian and Ozenfant Academies, he is now established in France, he exhibits regularly at the Salon des Surindépendants since 1935. He marries the Dutch artist Christine Boumeester whose surrealism of her painting he is sensitive to. He tends towards abstraction, using gestures similar to Hartung and Soulages. His works are present in many collections in France including the Museum of Modern Art in Paris, the Museums of Grenoble, Strasbourg, Tourcoing, Lyon, Saint-Etienne... but also abroad: Budapest, Barcelona, New York, Rio, Kyoto.....
