"Bronze “the Seagull”, Attributed To Erget – Early 20th Century"
This bronze sculpture depicts a seagull in full flight, wings spread and talons extended forward, skimming a wave. The seabird is placed on a flat, rectangular black marble base contrasting with the color of the green patina for the wave and brown for the animal. This creation attributed to Erget (19th-20th century), an animal sculptor, is interesting because of its dynamic representation of movement and the craftsmanship required to capture such detail in bronze. ******** Period: Early 20th century Excellent condition.
