Beautiful and interesting set of eleven two-tone champagne flutes (x 11) of tubular shape – a rather rare and original design –, made of blown white glass, worked with a tool and slightly ribbed, resting on a circular base tinted midnight blue, and fixed with heat. An old model, typical of the Art Deco period, which subsequently inspired many other glassworks. Daum Manufacture, in Nancy. Signature stamped under the base of each of the glasses, "Daum-Nancy" in capital letters.
— DIMENSIONS — • the height of a flute is 12.90 CM; • its diameter, at the rim (at the top), is 04.20 CM; • its diameter, at the base (at the bottom), is 05.40 CM. The design is quite fine, the flutes are neither very high nor very wide: this is also what makes them original. It is also, as always with Daum (it is a marker), quality work.
— CONDITION REPORT — The series is, overall, in excellent condition. There is, on the first 9 flutes, absolutely no damage, no particular wear; no chips, no shocks. The glass is clear, unaltered, unbleached and not opacified. On the other hand, we can find, on the back of some flutes, traces of tools (see photo n°6), which in no way constitute wear (it is a mark of original manufacture). On the 10th flute, tiny material jump at the rim, which does not however constitute a chip (tiny glass jump of barely 1 millimeter, not sharp, and does not prevent the use of the cup (this small wear is difficult to detect, and too small to be photographed). 11th flute, tiny and invisible material jump at the base (photo n°5), imperceptible again, not hindering its use at all. To summarize, there are 9 glasses in perfect condition. The next two are also in very good condition, with tiny and inconsequential wear from use. The series is, therefore, overall, very well preserved. Very good condition.
