Christiane CARRIZEY is a painter of French nationality. She was born on March 8, 1929. She has been painting since the age of 12. We quote her: "I am a free painter. Neither a dealer nor an exclusive gallery that would direct my work. For figurative, I am abstract and for abstract, I am figurative. I do not make the difference; I express emotions more than "pretty things". Christiane Carrizey studied at the School of Fine Arts in Rouen, at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. This artist is a member of many exhibitions: Salon d'Automne, Salon des Indépendants, Salon Violet. She is also a member of the Artistes Français as well as the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts. Christiane Carrizey has held many solo exhibitions, notably in famous Parisian galleries but also in the provinces, in Epernay, Rouen, Rosny sur Seine. Many exhibitions abroad as well: Geneva, Brussels, Liège, Spa, Barcelona, Abidjan, New York, Munich, Prague, China and Japan. She has received many prizes and awards. We will note among others, Prize of the Salon de Versailles, Prize of the Doctors, Mention at the Salon de la Marine, Prize of the Salon de Boulogne, Golden Laurel at the Grand Prix International d'API in 1994. Commission for the Ecole Normale de Rennes in 1980. Commission for the French Agricultural Cooperation in Paris in 1986. The Museum of Contemporary Art of Latina-Roma purchased a painting in 1989.
