China Or Japan 19th Century, Belt Buckle In Silver Vermeil And Carved Wood With Openwork Dragons

Beautiful and rare buckle or fibula, I think in vermeil and carved wood; rectangular in shape with rounded corners, its structure is the result of a mesh work of braided and welded threads forming a large bead in the manner of a gallery surmounted by a very "detailed" openwork sculpture depicting two dragons facing each other whose bodies are intertwined, the whole creating the buckle itself.

The reverse offers a decoration of flowers and numerous triangles joined together forming various other motifs; the hook has the shape of a heart. the object is punched twice with two sets of two identical punches (see photo).
