Circa 1800-1810 France Normandy Large bed slope in madder red Normandy Indian with neo-classical decoration. Part of an early 19th century bed set with medallions of vases and scenes of Bacchus loaded with oak leaves and laurel leaves. Neo-classical decoration arranged with large antique vases topped with medallions with scenes of mythological characters. Original lining of unbleached linen piped with indigo silk ribbon. Trace of rust for the nails in the upper part. No hole or stain, the madder red having retained all its tinctorial power. Excellent condition of conservation for its age.
