"Angel's Head In Carved, Lacquered And Gilded Oak. Louis XIV Period."
Beautiful angel head in oak carved in the round. White-gray patinated lacquered face, almond-shaped eyes, curly hair framing the forehead and temples, half-open and smiling mouths. It has six folded wings in gilded wood: two small ones forming an embrace on the top of the head, two larger ones on each side open the face and the last two join the two hands joined in front of the bust. Visible damage to the nose. Wear to the lacquer and gilding.
