"Art Deco Modernist Double Sided Desk Belgium Circa 1930"
Here is a rare and unusual piece of furniture. It is a double-sided desk in the purest style of the Belgian art deco modernist movement. It takes up the stylistic codes of 18th century desks with cardboard boxes, but in a refined and cubist way. This piece of furniture is made of European flamed walnut. It can be dismantled into four self-supporting parts (just four screws and two lag screws to replace.) It has its original light fixture also in blackened wood (currently equipped with a small LED neon light). This piece of furniture is in very good original condition with some traces of use and superficial wear). It is varnished satin from the period. It has all its metal handles as well as its key. In short, it is therefore a piece of furniture that is both rare, decorative and very practical with its two workstations, its numerous drawers and storage lockers, all in a very reasonable size.
