19th Century Gilt Bronze Mantel Clock With Pons Breveté Movement

Very fine ormolu mantel clock with Paris movement stamped “Pons Breveté”, numbered 646, a second difficult-to-decipher stamp “P?”. The “Pons breveté” stamp was used from 1820. This clock is equipped with a Paris movement regulated by a Brocot escapement and a rake strike. The pendulum is original. The front skeleton structure is fully chased.
The clock has been overhauled twice and the dates engraved on the back: 1893 and 1990.
In store condition: strikes the half-hour and the hour. If an overhaul is required, it will be charged to the next purchaser.
This clock is sold with its key and is presented in its original globe where it is fixed on the base.

Condition: very good overall, despite cracks and missing parts on the “VI”.
