GELIS (Daniel), French painter born in 1942. The talent of this artist was recognized at a very young age because it was during his first Parisian exhibition at the age of 27 that gallery owners invited him to exhibit in the United States, Moscow, Switzerland, Canada and Tokyo. Official orders were not long in coming and public collections acquired key works. Recognition from art professionals was also there since he obtained the silver and gold medals at the Salon des Artiste Français. Daniel GELIS is constantly between figurative and abstract. His blended and harmoniously placed colors bring a particular delicacy to his compositions.This superb work, an oil on canvas from the 1980s, is titled "Autumn Snow".
