Object description :

"Terracotta Sculpture "forms And Harmony""
Very beautiful terracotta sculpture by Pierre Moreau.
Original proof representing "Forms and harmony" dated 1963.
Probably the only proof by the artist recognized as a great photographer.
After living in Germany, France and Morocco, he entered in 1960 simultaneously the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels and the National School of Visual Arts in La Cambre (photo section) from where he graduated in 1963. The same year he met the great sculptor Olivier STREBELLE and took his first photos of his work. From 1965 to 1970, he became the press photographer for the European Commission with a freelance status. He produced both in-depth reports on European agriculture, industry and urbanization as well as current affairs reports: the famous marathons of European construction, the transfers of the Strasbourg Parliament or Kirchberg in Luxembourg. He was called to the office of the presidents of the European Commission, Walther Hallstein and then Jean Rey, during visits by important figures, which gave him the opportunity to photograph François Mitterrand, Couve de Murville, Michel Debré, Amintore Fanfani, Willy Brandt, Harold Wilson, Paul Henri Spaak, King Baudouin I, not to mention some famous visitors such as the first American astronaut John Glenn (first American orbital flight, died in 2016). He successively became a fashion and advertising photographer. In 1971, he married the model Manuelle. In 1985, he invented and developed a personal technique for trickery and image nesting when shooting without scanning on large-format technical cameras. His clients were the automobile industry and the pharmaceutical industry.
