""animated Scene" Box"
Round box in black lacquer from the end of the 18th century. Its lid is decorated with a scene painted in watercolor and gouache. In front of a house, a table has been brought out around which 3 men have settled down to play cards while a couple has isolated themselves and another is walking alone a little to one side. The scene takes place in a green, wooded environment, a large tree occupying an important place in front of the house. The painted scene protected by a curved glass is surrounded by chiseled gilded brass. This charming box is in good condition. D: 7.5cm D painted scene: 6.5cm
