"Neo-gothic Stone Gargoyle, 19th Century"
Gargouille of neo-gothic style, carved during the first half of the nineteenth century, in stone from Farges (Saône and Loire), in perfect condition. It is sculpted with a grotesque to the green man, covered with acanthus leaves, between two modillons and pierced from top to mouth, our last photo. Originally, in cantilever, it supported a cornice serving as the cowl of a chapel near Lyon. You can visit our site: www.claudeaugustin.com
