"Louis XV Fireplace In Burgundy Marble Stone"
Elegant fireplace in Burgundy marble stone, Chassagne stone in Saône et Loire, Louis XV, from the 18th century. Its lintel is decorated with a scrolled shell flanked by gadrooned crosiers, a motif reproduced at its ends. Its straight uprights are decorated with a double falling acanthus leaf. A torus runs along its hearth line. It should be noted some small chips from use and an alteration of the bottom of the jambs. Its lintel is reinforced by an original staple, on its top, hidden under a piece. See our last photo. The depth of its lintel is 30 cm. Its length at the body is 169 cm. The dimensions of its hearth are 147 cm wide and 96 cm high. You can visit our website: www.claudeaugustin.com
