This object was used by shepherds and field workers, day laborers ... etc. There were several sizes, the number of which varied according to the production centers, from 4 to 6. The shapes of these dinner holders are variable, they are truncated in Burgundy, pomiform in Ile-de-France, flared in Anjou... the attachments of the handles, depending on the region, feature cherub heads, rosettes, fleurons, human masks, etc.
