Old & large centerpiece or vase dating from the second half of the 19th century. Bronze cup with double patina. Low relief model depicting the 4 elements Fire represented by the god Ares Air represented by the goddess Iris brandishing a caduceus Water represented by the goddess Amphitrite sitting near a spring Earth embodied by the goddess Gaia The cup is topped with a Baccarat engraved crystal tulipiere decorated with flowers. The mount of the cornet depicts the nymph Syrinx transforming into reeds to flee the god Pan. 44cm high, the cup measures 32.5cm in diameter. Crystal in very good condition. The cup shows wear to the patina and small dents
