Lyon School 19th century, bouquet of roses in a vase on an entablature, oil on canvas from the Napoleon III period, second half of the 19th century, in its beautiful cane frame in gold leaf gilded wood. Beautiful composition inspired by Dutch flower paintings of the 17th century. An explosion of fresh and delicate colors, the flowers (assemblage of roses) are perfectly represented, as is the vase. Fine and scrupulous representation of the flowers, with delicate colors, and careful details such as drops of water on the flowers and an insect. Large format very decorative and furnishing.
